General Description:
Heiman is an Israeli artist who first came to notice as a photographer. She would currently consider herself a visual artist producing scultpture, 'living' art, original works with photographic images ... as well as painting on canvas.

Her work is infused with a dramatic desire to find the impact of the relationship between the 'subject' and 'object' in art ... as well as life.

Materials & Medium :
Acrylics on canvas, photgraphic materials, Lambada Prints etc.

Background:

Michal Heiman is one of the leading Israeli artists working today. Her works have been showcased internationally and have been included in major collections. She has had Solo Exhibitions in Europe, USA, Australia as well as her native Israel.

Currently her work is on view at the Jewish Museum, NY, NY as part of the Dateline:Israel exhibit. A Solo exhibit of Heiman's work curated by the Director of the Tel Aviv museum Mr. Mordechai Omer, is scheduled to open at the Tel-Aviv Museum in 2008.

Born 1954, in Israel, she lives and works in Tel Aviv.
