General Description:

Kun's inspiring works are bright and brimming. Flowers and urban dwellings are two of her passionate interests.

Her delicate touch brings us a sense of springtime and care-free joys.

Materials & Medium :
Oil on Canvas

Background:

"The flowers she paints are flowers she collected in her mind through her memories of beauty." (Lawrence Schwartz, Art Critic)

Born in Yugoslavia, Kun was separated from her parents in the Second World War. Hiding with her brother and grandmother, she passed through frightening experiences which helped develop her passion for freedom and life … two themes which shine throughout her work.

Her formal training took place at the Budapest Academy of Art and in 1956 she immigrated to Israel, where she further studied with Tzvi (Miklos) Adler. Here she developed her unique impressionist style with Cezanne-like influences.

Kun’s paintings are on display in many galleries around the world, have been included in over 60 exhibitions, are in the collection of many private collections.

"To walk in the paths of your paintings is like walking in nature and to be amazed from the surrounding view." (Naava Shmueli)
